The recipient of a BBA in economics and finance from Texas Tech University, Fritz Frederick Eugene Mowery is currently pursuing a Master's degree at Dallas Baptist University in Apologetics, Outside his educational pursuit, Fritz Mowery is also a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the investment and finance sector. Turfgrass Environmental Research

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, the USGA renamed its Turfgrass Environmental Research Program to Mike David Program for Advancing Golf Course Management in honor of Mike Davis. For several years, the renamed initiative centered its activity around improving the on-course golfing experience.

Each year, the USGA invests roughly $2 million on the program to promote innovation to improve playing conditions and facilitate an environmentally-friendly game through best practices, such as standardization of green construction and reduced pesticide use. The funds also enable the incorporation of more natural areas on courses and also improved water management.
